Standards-friendy eLearning and Web development (HTML 5 version)

Competing RIA technologies

My previous post discussed selecting technology for e-learning courseware. Today CNET published an article discussing the various technologies vying for dominance in the rich internet application (RIA) market: Flash, HTML, Ajax: Which will win the Web app war?

It’s a good article for those not really familiar with the latest in the RIA world.

Since e-learning courseware is really just a form of RIA, most of the same arguments in the article apply to our work. Anyone want to add their 2 cents to the discussion?

And just out of curiosity: are any of you working with (or planning to work with) Microsoft Silverlight? Personally, I’m waiting for it to become a little more established before dipping my toes into their water. :)
