Introducing the pipwerks e-learning development forum
Update: The URL has been changed to http://forum.pipwerks.com
I’ve been getting quite a few emails from readers asking for help with my SCORM wrapper and SCORM ActionScript classes, as well as general questions regarding SCORM, Adobe Flash, and Adobe Captivate. I figured it would be nice to make these kinds of discussions public; as a moderator at the SWFObject forum, I’ve seen firsthand how helpful a decent forum can be, both as a place to ask questions and a resource for reading about solutions other people have found to similar problems. I also know how hard it can be to find answers about some of the more obscure issues e-learning developers face, such as SCORM integration and LMS quirks.
With this in mind, I decided to create a simple forum dedicated to e-learning development. I’m not saying I have the answers, but I’m hoping I can at least foster some good conversations and maybe get some of my peers talking and helping each other out. I’m also hoping to use the forum to promote web standards in e-learning development (as Martha says, “it’s a good thing”).
I know there are a number of e-learning forums out there already, but it never hurts to have another place to get help, right? Plus this one doesn’t require any special memberships and won’t be cluttered with advertising, save for an small Google ad or two.
You can subscribe to the forum using email notifications or an RSS feed.
So if you have e-learning development questions, why not post them in the forum? Got a course you want to show off? Post that, too! Just paste a link under the “showcase” category.
Remember, forums are only as good as the people who use them, so please come visit and tell your friends and peers! Thanks
